    Care

    The Chistera has a directional nap – the short fibres extend above the fabric’s surface- designed to be polished.

    Using a soft bristle hat brush, smooth the nap lightly in an anticlockwise direction. Follow by spraying a fine mist of fresh water over the top hat and then use a damp velvet polishing pad to bring up the hat’s lustre.

    Always store top hats in a hat box, away from direct sunlight. 

    Materials

    The Chistera is crafted from stiffened rabbit felt, trimmed with grosgrain along the brim, and finished with a wool felt band.

    Each topper is fully lined and has a leather inner sweatband.

    Care

    Using a soft bristle hat brush, gently stroke the hat in a short, anti-clockwise motion. This will remove any dust caught on the fur fibres.

    Always  Bowlers in a hat box, away from direct sunlight.

    Materials

    The Roche Bowler is made of stiffened rabbit felt, is fully lined, has a leather inner sweatband, and is finished with a grosgrain band.

    Styling & Fitting

    Classically, a Bowler hat should be worn placed evenly on top of the head with sides about 2 inches above the ears. It should not rest on your ears.
