RETURNS/EXCHANGES

We have a fourteen day refund/30 day exchange policy from date of purchase.

*For the holidays,all purchases from October 15th-December 25th may be exchanged through January 15th.

  • We ship all orders within 24 hours, usually the same day we receive the order. This does not include items that are not in stock which is rare.
  • We will not accept returns that are worn, damaged, or have the tags removed. Shipping charges are not refundable.
  • Items returned after the 14 day refund period will be “in-store” credit only or incur a 30% restocking fee for a refund (all restocking fees are retrievable on any similar purchase).Items returned within the 14 Day Refund Period, solely for a refund under $50 will have a restocking fee deducted that is retrievable towards any future purchase (hats 8.95 – Caps/Berets-6.95).
  • SPECIAL ORDERS: Off season special orders and special orders cannot be exchanged or returned.
  • CLEARANCE/CLOSEOUT: Clearance/Closeout items may be exchanged providing they are still on the website. Clearance/Closeouts are NOT refundable. If returned for a refund anyway or after 14 day refund period, a 30% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund (minimum $6.95). You may however retrieve the restocking fee should you ever order from us in the future. Must be the same amount of the original purchase.
  • Bargain Basement items, as stated in the Bargain Basement category section CANNOT be refunded for ANY reason. Exchange or in-store credit ONLY if returned unworn with tags factory attached.
  • PANAMA HATS: Panama Hats do NOT come with a warranty. They are all extremely fragile. Any damage in shipping MUST be reported on the day of delivery. Any claim after that, please contact the manufacturer directly.
  • DAMAGED PACKAGES: WE will refuse any crushed boxes that contain fragile Panama or Straw Hats and recommend that you insure them as we do.
  • FREE SHIPPING ORDERS: Free shipping items returned solely for refund will have an 8.95 (16.95 if shipped in custom hat box) shipping charge and restocking fee each, deducted from their refund.
    Free shipping orders/items over $100.00 returned solely for refund (not exchanges) will be subject to an 15% restocking fee unless previously arranged prior to shipping. The restocking fee may be retrieved on any future purchase for the same amount.
  • INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: CANADA: Free shipping over $100,under $100.00 orders $11.95 or the actual cost of shipping/insurance whichever is greater.Returns solely for refunds (not exchanges) have $11.95 shipping and handling charge deducted from refund.EUROPE: Free shipping over $150.00,under $150.00 orders $22.50.Returns for refunds have $22.50 deducted from refund.
  • Exchanges are processed usually within 24 hours,Refunds, please allow 5-14 days to process.
  • HAT BOXES: a refund of half the price of the hat box will be issued if a hat box is received damaged. Please send a picture to info@hollandhats.com of the damaged box.
  • Cancelled orders prior to shipping and/or orders placed for hat boxes at 9.95 without a hat over $50 as required in the title will have a 10% deductions to cover the processing and credit card fees/costs. Minimum $5.
  • Once in a while, very rarely, we receive a hat from distributer with missing hatpin (for hats that come with them shown in main image.If we have it, or can get it, we will. If not, that is that. If this is an issue on a model you are about to purchase (again this is rare), let us know when ordering in “notes to seller” box.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNS/EXCHANGES:

To exchange an item(s) please enclose a check for $6.95 for caps/berets , $8.95 for hats and 16.95 for hats in a custom hat box  (Canada $11.95 for caps/berets, 16.95 for hats and 34.50 for hats in a custom hat box., Europe $22.50 for caps/berets, 28.50 for hats and 44.50 for hats in a custom hat box) and your exchange information (size, color, etc…).
