Made in Italy the Bellagio features a 2 1/2″ brim, slightly lower crown than the Borsalino Como, satin lining, genuine leather sweatband, and silk grosgrain hatband with Borsalino medallion attached. This hat has a very soft feel. It is the classic fedora shape with a pinch in the crown, a satin lining and a silk grosgrain hat band. The model with a high dome 12 cm and medium brim 6,5 cm is made even more unique by a series of special details: the soft shaved felt in bruciato shade is juxtaposed with a tone-on-tone grosgrain hatband, which traces the iconic silhouette of the film that wraps around the hat like the reel of a movie camera. As with all other models, Bogart’s stylised profile is engraved on the satin lining, and the inner leather hatband is customised with the phrase, ‘Life Comes in Flashes’, a tribute to the documentary Bogart: Life Comes in Flashes, which was created by Universal Pictures and the Humphrey Bogart Estate.

Between 1930 and 1950, Humphrey Bogart starred in dozens of films, often playing tough-hearted roles. His most famous interpretation is that of Rick Blaine in Casablanca, the 1942 film by Michael Curtiz, in which Bogart wore a Borsalino hat that rightfully entered into the history of Cinema. This fifth collectible Borsalino Fedora is inspired and enhances the magical silhouette beloved by the Hollywood actor who translated aesthetics of the time into accuracy of proportions. The brushed felt in a special Curcuma shade is combined with a Poppy motif floral hatband for an extremely sophisticated effect. The inside of the hat is lined in satin featuring one of the actor’s funniest expressions “Never trust a man who doesn’t drink”. The Bogart by Borsalino Cut 5 comes with its very own special hat box inspired by the Academy Award won by Bogart in 1952 for the film The African Queen.
